The invention relates to a multi-plate type automatic foldable stage and a controlling method of the multi-plate type automatic foldable stage. The multi-plate type automatic foldable stage comprises three groups of stage bodies; the first group of stage body and the third group of stage body are arranged at the two ends of the integrated foldable stage; the second group of stage body is arranged in the middle of the integrated foldable stage; two adjacent groups of stage bodies are connected through connecting steel plates; each group of stage body is formed by two stage plates; a lifting mechanism and an electric push rod mechanism are arranged at the lower portion of each group of stage body; a winding machine is arranged at the end of the first group of stage body; a pushing and pulling device is arranged on a base of the winding machine; a reinforcing plate is arranged in the middle of the end of the third group of stage body; through holes are formed in the reinforcing plate; the lifting mechanisms, the electric push rod mechanisms and the winding machine are all controlled by a controller to work. After the foldable stage is folded, the occupied area of the foldable stage is smaller and is only about one seventh of the occupied area of the foldable stage in an extended state. According to the multi-plate type automatic foldable stage, the stage can be effectively folded and unfolded, an original stage site is not occupied and can be used for other activities after performance is finished, the limited place can be used more reasonably, and the effect of achieving multiple purposes by one place can be obtained.
