High-strength high-porosity YbB6 ultrahigh-temperature porous ceramic and preparation method thereof
The invention relates to a high-strength high-porosity YbB6 ultrahigh-temperature porous ceramic and a preparation method thereof. Yb2O3 and B4C are taken as raw materials for the first time, and the high-strength high-porosity YbB6 ultrahigh-temperature porous ceramic is directly obtained by weighing, wet mixing, drying treatment, dry pressing, high-temperature gas-solid phase reaction and high-temperature partial sintering. The YbB6 ultrahigh-temperature porous ceramic prepared according to the method has the following characteristics: (1) the purity is high, the phase content of YbB6 is 100wt%, and no impurity exists; (2) the porosity is high and ranges from 55% to 75%; (3) the compression strength is high and ranges from 8MPa to 22MPa; (4) high-temperature gas-solid phase reaction and high-temperature partial sintering can be finished at one step, an operation of synthesizing YbB6 powder independently is not needed, and cooling is not needed after synthesis of YbB6; and (5) organic substances such as a foaming agent and a surface dispersant are not needed to be added.
