The invention discloses a method for embedding a horizontal drainage channel in a soft soil foundation and a device thereof and belongs to the technical field of soft soil foundation construction engineering. The method comprises the steps that a steel wire rope is driven to move through two winches which are arranged on the soft soil foundation to be treated in parallel, so that a soil body is cut, then drainage plates are driven by means of the steel wire rope to enter soil, so that the drainage plates are horizontally arranged in soft soil, and thus the horizontal drainage channel is formed. The method for embedding the horizontal drainage channel in the soft soil foundation and the device thereof have the advantages that the structure is simple, using is convenient, construction cost of the soft soil foundation is effectively reduced, and construction efficiency is improved; meanwhile, reinforcement pre-treatment, conducted before construction, of the soft soil foundation is omitted, and it is guaranteed that the laid soft soil foundation does not sink.
