The invention relates to a mullite refractory coating material and in particular relates to a mullite light refractory coating material. The mullite refractory coating material comprises the following components in parts by weight: 30-40 parts of 3-1mm mullite aggregate, 5-15 parts of 1-0mm flint clay aggregate, 10-20 parts of 0.5-0mm flint clay aggregate, 11-21 parts of mullite powder, 4-6 parts of modified Faku soil, 5-7 parts of aluminate cement, 1-3 parts of 1-5mu m mullite whiskers, 1-3 parts of 1-5mu m titanium nitride whiskers, 3-5 parts of additives and additional alumina sol accounting for 10-18% of the total materials by weight. The mullite refractory coating material has good coating property and sintering property and short curing time and can be rapidly baked and used. After undergoing high-temperature thermal treatment, the coating material can be sintered together with furnace linings, has high strength and good thermal shock resistance, is not easy to crack, has good repair effects and can achieve the effect of effectively prolonging the service lives of high-temperature furnaces.
