The column hoop comprises four I beams (1) and four limiting blocks (4), and the four I beams (1) are hinged pairwise; each I beam (1) penetrates one limiting block (4) and is fixed with the corresponding limiting block (4) through a pin (9); a clamping sleeve of each limiting block (4) clamps one I beam (1) penetrating the limiting block (4) and the other adjacent I beam (1), and each limiting block (4) abuts against the adjacent limiting block (4); and the method is characterized in that the four I beams (1) are hinged pairwise, then, non-hinge ends of the I beams (1) are sleeved with the limiting blocks (4), the limiting block (4) of each I beam (1) is pushed and moved to the hinge end, and each limiting block (4) abuts against the adjacent limiting block (4). According to the column hoop and the construction method of the column hoop, operation is rapid and convenient, and time and labor are saved.
