An automatic door device is provided with an exterior body (21) that houses a drive mechanism for a door body. The exterior body (21) includes a fixed side member (32) having a linear rail (29) and fixed to a fixed body, a cover member (33) covering at least the front surface of the fixed side member (32), and a fixing means (34) for fixing the cover member (33) to the fixed side member (32). The fixed side member (32) has a receiving surface (44) that is pressed by the cover member (33) when the cover member (33) is fixed to the fixed-side member (32) by the fixing means (34). The fixing means (34) fixes the cover member (33) to the fixed side member (32) such that force with which the cover member (33) presses the receiving surface (44) is generated.
