The polished tile comprises, by weight, 4%-20% of kaolin, 2%-8% of bentonite, 6%-50% of potassium feldspar, 3%-25% of albite, 1%-6% of crushed waste bricks, 1%-25% of sediment mud, 2%-18% of pyrophyllite, 1%-8% of high diaspore and 1%-12% of silica sand. According to the polished tile and the making method, solid waste generated in the polished tile production process is used to the maximum degree, the using rate of the raw materials in the polished tile production process is used to the maximum degree, solid waste discharging in the polished tile production process is accordingly reduced, and mineral resource waste and the pressure on the environment in the polished tile production process are reduced.
