The invention discloses a TiB2/TiB composite ceramic cathode material for aluminum electrolysis and a method for preparing the same. TiB2 powder and Ti powder serve as raw materials, are evenly mixed and formed and then undergo reactive sintering in the appropriate atmosphere to obtain the TiB2/TiB composite ceramic cathode material. With TiB whiskers generated by in-situ reaction serving as a reinforcement phase, the material is good in sintering performance, high in product density, small in residual stress and good in electrical conductivity, mechanical property and corrosion resistance; and the TiB2/TiB composite ceramic cathode material is moistened well with molten aluminum and is an ideal TiB2 wettable cathode material for aluminum electrolysis.
