The invention provides a contact type buckling-restrained steel plate shear wall and a production method thereof. The contact type buckling-restrained steel plate shear wall comprises an embedded steel plate, flanges, stiffening ribs and insulating layers, wherein the flanges are welded on the left side and the right side of the embedded steel plate; the stiffening ribs are arranged on the front side and the back side of the embedded steel plate and supported on the flanges. According to the provided contact type buckling-restrained steel plate shear wall, reduction of the bearing capacity and stiffness due to reduction of the section size of the embedded steel plate and damage to a pull strap because of slotting or punching in the embedded steel plate is avoided, and reduction of the low-cycle fatigue performance of the embedded steel plate due to a welding process adopted on the embedded steel plate is avoided. The contact type buckling-restrained steel plate shear wall is simple in structure, convenient to construct and excellent in energy dissipation capacity, has the wide application range and can consume energy input by an earthquake under the action of the earthquake and protect a main body structure from damage.
