The invention discloses a positioning hinge mechanism for a folding ladder. The positioning hinge mechanism for the folding ladder comprises an inner swing arm, an outer swing arm and a positioning blocking column, wherein one end of the inner swing arm and one end of the outer swing arm are straight arms connected with a ladder frame, the other end of the inner swing arm and the other end of the outer swing arm are turntables mutually hinged through middle shafts, the hinged turntable of the outer swing arm consists of two flat plates, the flat plates of the hinged turntable of the inner swing arm are inserted into the middles of the two flat plates and are hinged through the middle shaft together, at least two groups of outer swing arm positioning holes are formed in the two flat plates of the outer swing arm, and a group of inner swing arm positioning holes corresponding to the outer swing arm positioning holes are formed in the turntable of the inner swing arm and are centrally symmetric with respect to the middle shaft. The complicated process that the middle shafts of an original product are machined according to a lower self-locking structure is omitted, the positioning hinge mechanism is simple in structure, very convenient to machine and install and is not easily damaged when being impacted.
