The invention relates to a quartz sand slag foamed light soil filling material for highway abutment backfill. The industrial tailings quartz sand slag, cement, a foaming agent and the like are adopted as the raw materials, and by controlling the proportion of all the component materials, the foamed light soil can be obtained. Specifically, the content of water is 25%-50%, the content of cement is 20%-40%, and the content of quartz sand slag is 25%-50%. The filling material provided by the invention is used for backfill, can greatly ease the variation gradient of differential settlement between a bridge (culvert) and a roadbed, so that the variation of differential settlement between the bridge and roadbed becomes slow and uniform, and the vehicle bump problem between the bridge (culvert) and the roadbed in expressway can be fundamentally eliminated. Also, the foamed light soil generates small soil lateral pressure which cannot make the bridge (culvert) deviate, thus playing certain protection role to the bridge (culvert) indirectly.
