The invention provides a building main structure and a construction method thereof. The building main structure (100) comprises steel columns (1), H-shaped steel beams (2), inner walls (3) and outer walls (4). Each H-shaped steel beam is arranged between two steel columns (1). The H-shaped steel beams (2) comprise side H-shaped steel beams (21) and middle H-shaped steel beams (22). Each inner wall (3) is arranged between one steel column (1) and the corresponding middle H-shaped steel beam (22). Each outer wall (4) is arranged outside one steel column (1) and the corresponding side H-shaped steel beam (21), and is spaced from the steel column (1) with the first preset distance. Each inner wall (3) comprises inner wall cold-formed thin-walled C-section steel keels, and each outer wall (4) comprises outer wall cold-formed thin-walled C-section steel keels. The steel columns (1) and the outer walls (4) are fixedly connected to base beams or floor beams. According to the invention, the heavy steel columns and the light steel wall keels made of cold-formed thin-walled section steel are combined, so that the stability and bearing capability of the main structure are guaranteed, steel is saved, and the installation is convenient.
