The storage tank vertical advancing mechanism comprises a steel support arranged above a tank groove, wherein the steel support drives a storage tank to enter the bottom of the tank groove. The storage tank transverse advancing mechanism comprises a rail mechanism for the material storage tank to slide, and a traction mechanism drawing the storage tank to advance towards the tank groove. The tank groove is filled with water first, the storage tank is then made to get close to the tank groove along the rail mechanism through a traction winch, the storage tank is then suspended through the steel support, chain blocks of a sliding supporting trolley are operated step by step, water in the tank groove is gradually pumped out so that the storage tank can fall step by step till the storage tank falls to the lowest place, and installation is completed. The storage tank installation which can hardly be achieved can become easy and feasible through the common effect of the measures of lightness and flexibility of the chain blocks, the sliding effect of rail wheels, stability of the support, and buoyancy of water in the tank groove in the use process.
