The invention provides a pedestal pan capable of being used both in a squatting mode and in a sitting mode. The pedestal pan capable of being used both in the squatting mode and in the sitting mode comprises a pedestal pan body and adjustment mechanisms located on the two sides of the pedestal pan body. Each adjustment mechanism comprises a driving device, a gear, a rack, a connecting rod and a pedal, wherein the driving device is connected with the gear so as to drive the gear to rotate, the gear is meshed with the rack, the position, opposite to the ground, of the gear is kept unchanged, the rack can move relative to the ground in the length direction of the rack, the rack is hinged to the first end of the connecting rod, and the second end of the connecting rod is hinged to the pedal. The pedestal pan can be used both in the squatting mode and the sitting mode, thereby being suitable for different people. When the pedestal pan needs to be used in the squatting mode, the driving devices drive the gears to rotate, the gears drive the racks to move, the racks move so as to drive the connecting rods to rotate, so that the pedals are made to move upwards and slowly approach the pedestal pan body, and the pedestal pan can be used in the squatting mode when the pedals are located above the pedestal pan body and particularly above a seat ring of the pedestal pan body.
