The invention discloses a pressing element for a floor laying plate of a basement. The pressing element comprises a pressing element body, wherein pressing parts are arranged at two ends of the pressing element body; a bending part is arranged between each pressing part and the pressing element body; an insertion groove is formed in the pressing element body; a fixing post is inserted and connected into the insertion groove; the pressing element body is provided with a fixing block; and the fixing block is provided with an insertion hole. The pressing element has the advantages that the pressing element body can be arranged on the laying plate; and after the laying plate is laid on the floor, the press element can be firmly arranged on the laying plate, so that the floor of the basement can be conveniently decorated.
