The invention relates to an artificial lawn with cooling performance and good weather resistance. The artificial lawn comprises turf and filler, wherein the turf comprises base cloth and artificial grass knitted on the base cloth; and the artificial grass is prepared from the following components in parts by weight: 80-95 parts of PE, 5-20 parts of POE, 3-10 parts of color master-batch, 0.5-5 parts of smooth assistant, 1-20 parts of filling assistant, and 10-30 parts of cooling assistant, wherein the cooling assistant is anti-infrared ceramic powder and/or zinc oxide powder. The invention also provides a preparation method of the artificial lawn. The artificial lawn provided by the invention has good cooling performance and good weather resistance, and the preparation method of the artificial lawn facilitates industrial application.
