The invention discloses a cold-resistant concrete box culvert and a preparation method thereof. The preparation method comprises the following steps: 1), sludge is soaked in an activation solution, the mixture is filtered, dried and sieved, and activated sludge is prepared; 2), cement, the activated sludge, stone, sand, fly ash and water are mixed, and concrete is prepared; 3), the concrete is poured into a framework of steel reinforcement, and the cold-resistant concrete box culvert is prepared after maintenance, wherein the activation solution contains water, hydrochloric acid, lauric acid and sodium fluosilicate. The cold-resistant concrete box culvert prepared with the method has excellent crack load and failure load indexes.
