The invention provides a light partition wallboard and a preparation method therefor. The light partition wallboard comprises the following components in parts by weight: 350-400 parts of common silicate 425# cement, 150-200 parts of coal ash, 40-60 parts of perlite, 50-80 parts of water, 5-12 parts of a cement foaming agent, 10-30 parts of aluminum sulfate, 5-10 parts of ceramsites, 0.1-0.5 part of a trioxymethylene cross-linking agent, 0.5-1.5 parts of triethanolamine, 0.2-1.5 parts of polyacrylamide and 2-5 parts of palm fiber threads. According to the light partition wallboard and the preparation method therefor, the production period of the partition wallboard is greatly shortened, and the production efficiency is improved; the partition wallboard is high in strength, low in manufacturing cost, and good in water resistance; tensile force and reverse tensile force of the partition wallboard are strengthened by virtue of a polyethylene mesh; the reaction rate is increased; the solidification is advanced; and and the forming time is shortened.
