The invention discloses an installing machine for a light partition wallboard. The installing machine comprises a pedestal which is horizontally arranged, and the whole pedestal is triangle-shaped or quadrangle-shaped. Rollers are mounted at the bottom of the pedestal. One side of the pedestal is the working side. A column is vertically and upwardly arranged at the portion, close to the middle portion of the working side, of the pedestal. A column dolly capable of sliding up and down is cooperatively arranged on the column. A rotating shaft is vertically arranged on the surface, on the same side of the working side, of the column dolly. A clamping mechanism used for clamping and fixing the light partition wallboard along the thickness direction is arranged on the rotating shaft. The installing machine further comprises an up-and-down movement control mechanism used for controlling the column dolly to move up and down. The installing machine is simple in structure, is convenient to operate, can facilitate the reducing of worker labor intensity, and can save the cost. The method provided by the invention can improve the construction efficiency and construction quality, and can facilitate the improvement of construction safety.
