The invention discloses hollow spheres for a high-temperature oxide crystal growth thermal field and a preparation method of the hollow spheres. The hollow spheres comprise components in parts by weight as follows: 70-99.4 parts of Al2O3 or ZrO2, 0.1-10 parts of SiO2 or TiO2, 0.5-20 parts of one of or a mixture of two or more of CaO, MgO and Cr2O3. The preparation method comprises steps of melting, gas blowing, cooling and screening. Composite component raw materials are prepared by introducing and mixing oxides with low melting points and high melting points according to requirements of the crystal growth thermal field; through matched introduction of the two oxides, the hollow spheres prepared through blowing have better strength and rigidity, can completely meet the requirements of the crystal growth thermal field and is long in service life and low in cost; argon serves as blowing gas and enables the hollow spheres to be filled with inert gas which cannot cause any influence on the crystal growth environment, the problem of melt pollution caused by introduction of air into the crystal growth environment due to breaking of the hollow spheres is solved fundamentally, and the quality of crystals can be effectively improved.
