The invention relates to a building material, in particular to a sound-absorbing building material, which comprises a first plate, a second plate and a third plate which are orderly superposed. Slats are arranged between the first and second plates as well as between the second and third plates and are bent in shape, so that arc-shaped cavities are formed between the first and second plates and between the second and third plates; and holes are formed in the first, second and third plates. The sound-absorbing building material can effectively adsorb noise and isolate the spread of the sound, thereby guaranteeing an excellent sound insulation effect.
