The invention provides a manhole cover missing warning device which comprises a support, a rotary shaft and a connecting rod. The support is fixed to a well wall. One end of the rotary shaft is rotatably connected with the support, and the other end of the rotary shaft and the connecting rod are vertically fixed together. Under the action of gravity, the connecting rod and the rotary shaft rotate around the axis together. When a manhole cover is not moved away, one end of the connecting rod abuts against the manhole cover. When the manhole cover is moved away, one end of the connecting rod springs up to be exposed out of the ground. When the manhole cover is moved away, people can be warned that the manhole cover is moved, and accidents are avoided.
