The invention relates to a modification method for preparing zirconia powder with super-transparency. The weight percentage of yttrium oxide in the powder is increased by more than 8.5% by mixing common zirconia powder with high transparency (hereinafter referred to as zirconia powder, wherein the weight percentage of yttrium oxide is 5.2+/-0.2%) with nano yttrium oxide or uniformly spraying a fixed amount of yttrium salt solution onto the powder, thus obviously improving the light transmission of the powder. Teeth made from the zirconia powder can meet the super-transparency requirement of aesthetic repair of anterior teeth in European and American countries and regions. Meanwhile, the powder modified by the method can not damage the original properties, such as powder particle morphology and flowability. The method is simple, is easy to operate and is good in product stability.
