The installation and construction method is characterized by comprising the following steps that 1, a preparation stage is executed, wherein an upper end connecting joint is welded to an overhanging truss main structure, meanwhile, an outer sleeve of a decorative column and a wind resisting pull rod are assembled, and the decorative stand column is formed; 2, a chain block hoist is connected to the overhanging truss main structure; 3, the decorative stand column is hoisted in place; 4, the upper end of the decorative stand column is mounted, wherein the upper end of the wind resisting pull rod and the upper end connecting joint are installed in place through the chain block hoist fixed to an overhanging truss, and then the upper portion of the outer sleeve of the decorative column and the connecting joint are installed in place through the chain block hoist; 5, the lower end of the decorative column is installed. According to the installation and construction method for the decorative stand column, due to the fact that the bottom end of the wind resisting pull rod in the decorative column is hinged, the decorative column can bear stress changes and retractility generated by influences of external factors.
