The invention discloses a variable-frequency construction ascending and descending platform, which comprises a power supply, a motor, an information sender, an information receiver, a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) control system, a position limiting unit, a speed limiting unit, a variable-frequency unit, a balancing unit and a foot brake standby unit, wherein the input end of the PLC control system is connected with the speed limiting unit, the position limiting unit, the information receiver and the balancing unit; the output end of the PLC control system is connected with the variable-frequency unit; the motor is connected with the variable-frequency unit; and the position limiting unit comprises an upper position limiting unit, an upper limit position limiting unit, a lower position limiting unit, a lower limit position limiting unit, a door body position limiting unit and a stop locking position limiting unit. The variable-frequency construction ascending and descending platform provided by the invention has the characteristics of good safety performance, energy-saving effect, high stability and the like. The foot brake standby unit does not need any electric energy and is connected with the motor. When the condition of power failure occurs, the motor can be driven to operate through pedaling a foot brake standby device by foot; the effect of constant-speed slow descending is achieved; and the safety of construction personnel is ensured.
