The ascending and descending platform for the building comprises a building ascending and descending platform main body, aninstalling seat, a working platform, an ascending and descending assembly, rotating wheels, a braking assembly, a guardrail and a pedal, wherein the installing seat is arranged on the outer wall of the bottom end of the building ascending and descending platform main body; the working platform is connected to the outer wall of the top end of the installing seat through the ascending and descending assembly; an installing groove is formed in the outer wall of the top end of the installing seat; a first rotating clamping arm and a second rotating clamping arm are respectively and rotationally connected to the outer walls of the two sides of the bottom end of the working platform through first rotating shafts; and the first rotating clamping arm and the second rotating clamping arm are in staggered extending connection through a rotating shaft. The ascending and descending platform for the building provided by the invention has the advantages that the structure is simple; the use is convenient; step-by-step ascending and descending of the working platform can be automatically controlled through the arrangement of the ascending and descending assembly, and climbing in the later building use process is facilitated; and through the arrangement of the braking assembly, the position of the ascending and descending platform for the building can be conveniently fixed after the ascendingand descending platform for the building moves; and use during building construction is facilitated.
