The invention discloses a sodium silicate waterproof agent. The sodium silicate waterproof agent is prepared from, by weight, 400-450 parts of sodium silicate, 1-3 parts of potassium dichromate, 3-7 parts of aluminium potassium sulfate, 2-6 parts of sodium dodecyl sulfate, 2-4 parts of zinc stearate, 10-15 parts of kieselguhr and 55-65 parts of water. The sodium silicate waterproof agent is large in permeation depth and good in waterproof performance and capable of being applied to water resisting for a roof, a basement, a bathroom and the like.
