The invention provides an obstructing device for stopping motor vehicles. The obstructing device comprises a base and a stop part installed on the base. A rubber layer or a silica gel layer is arranged on the side, facing the direction where the vehicles come, of the stop part, and therefore collision between hard articles and the vehicles is effectively avoided, collision damage to the vehicles is reduced and the vehicles are well protected. A movable part movably connected retracts towards the stress direction when collision occurs, and therefore partial collision force is effectively buffered, and damage caused by collision can be favorably lowered.
