A grid laying machine for sand stabilization in the desert is composed of a power source, a working mechanism and an intelligent control system. When the grid laying machine is used, the ground is flattened through a flattening mechanism (4), and power required by a working mechanism (6) in the working process is provided by a power source (5); the distance between the ground and a detector is acquired through the detector of an intelligent sensing system (2) on a grass pressing mechanism, the acquired signal is transmitted to a controller of the intelligent control system (1), the controller processes and analyzes the signal, and a hydraulic system (3) is controlled through an electromagnetic valve; and a mat is pressed into the desert, and straw checkerboard laying is completed. The grid laying machine is convenient to use, economical in consumed materials, few in waste materials, free of environment pollution, clean, sanitary and suitable for being used in the desert site. The grid laying machine has the beneficial effects that the roughness of the desert surface is increased, wind power is lowered, quicksand moving is prevented, rainwater is intercepted, and the good wind prevention and sand fixation effects are achieved.
