The invention provides a novel commercial building construction system and method. The construction system comprises a core tube part and a peripheral part; the core tube part is higher than the peripheral part by at least three layers; the core tube part comprises a core tube aluminum formwork system, a core tube scaffolding support system, an elevator shaft steel formwork system and a core tube exterior wall steel formwork system; the peripheral part comprises a peripheral aluminum formwork system, a peripheral scaffolding support system and a peripheral exterior wall protective screen system. The construction method comprises a construction step of the core tube part and a construction step of the peripheral part; the construction step of the core tube part comprises a construction step of a first core tube part and a construction step of a second core tube part; the construction step of the peripheral part comprises a construction step of a first peripheral part and a construction step of a second peripheral part. The novel commercial building construction system and method are capable of effectively shortening the overall construction period of a building, improving the overall building quality and reducing the construction cost of the commercial building.
