The invention relates to an environment-friendly coating for a sound room. The environment-friendly coating comprises the following materials in parts by mass: 30-50 parts of diatomite, 10-15 parts of a diatomite loaded nano-TiO2 material, 5-10 parts of modified nano-TiO2, 8-10 parts of vermiculite, 8-12 parts of vitrified micro bubbles, 2-2.4 parts of fumed silica, 3-6 parts of hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose, 1-1.3 parts of an inorganic aluminium salt waterproof agent, 0.5-1.5 parts of aluminium-magnesium silicate, 5-6 parts of white bamboo charcoal and 100-125 parts of water. A preparation method of the environment-friendly coating comprises the following steps: placing 30-50 parts of diatomite, 10-15 parts of the diatomite loaded nano-TiO2 material, 5-10 parts of modified nano-TiO2 and 8-10 parts of vermiculite into a high-speed crusher, sealing, shearing for 30-60 seconds at the rotational speed of 8,000-15,000 r/min, and discharging the main materials; sequentially adding 8-12 parts of vitrified micro bubbles, 2-2.4 parts of fumed silica, 3-6 parts of hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose, 1-1.3 parts of the inorganic aluminium salt waterproof agent, 0.5-1.5 parts of aluminium-magnesium silicate, 5-6 parts of white bamboo charcoal and 100-125 parts of water into the main materials, and then stirring for 5-8 min to obtain the environment-friendly coating.
