The silicon carbide green body for the armor is prepared from silicon carbide micro powder, carbon powder, sodium carboxymethyl cellulose powder and povidone K30 powder, slurry which is well ball-milled is pumped to slurry with a stirring machine through a diaphragm pump for granulation, the grain size of obtained granules ranges from 80 meshes to 200 meshes, granules with the grain size ranging from 80 meshes and 200 meshes are humidified through ethyl alcohol, the water content ranges from 3% to 5%, sealing is conducted for 3.5-4.5 h, the green body is prepared by being pressed through an oil press, the press conducts automatic distributing and secondary exhausting and pressing, the dried green body is high in density, the problems of cracking and deformation in the drying process of the green body are reduced, and the overall yield of the armor is high.
