The invention discloses an oxidation-resistant coating and a preparation method thereof. The coating is singe layered or double layered; the single layered coating comprises, by weight, 20-50% of SiC, 10-30% of AlPO4 and the balance of one of ZrB2 or ZrC; the double layered coating uses the single layered coating as an inner layer, an outer layer of the double layered coating comprises, by weight, 35-50% of SiC, 20-38% of B4C, and 20-40% of AlPO4. Al(H2PO4)3 solution is used as adhesive, and the oxidation-resistant coating is prepared on the surface of a carbon material base by a paste coating method in the steps of curing and thermal treatment; the single layered coating is 15-45 micrometers in thickness, the double layered coating is 30-80 micrometers in thickness, the coating thickness is controllable, and the coating is shedding proof and has good oxidation resistance.
