The invention relates to the field of roller brush production and processing, more specifically a long-hair roller brush and a preparation method thereof. The long-hair roller brush comprises an inner tube and brush hair. The long-hair roller brush is characterized in that the inner tube is prepared from modified mineral slag; and the brush hair comprises the following components in parts by weight: 90-100 parts of long-hair fiber, 0.5-1 part of zinc stearate micropowder, 11-15 parts of phenolic resin, 1-2 parts of synthetic fatty acid resin, 0.1-0.8 part of zinc oxide micropowder, 0.9-1.5 parts of antiaging agent and 1-2 parts of pigment. By using the mineral slag as the raw material, the long-hair roller brush solves the problem of difficulty in treating mineral slag, and saves abundant resources. By using the long-hair fiber, the long-hair roller brush has the advantages of low rupture tendency, higher hardness and favorable adsorptivity. The paint surface painted by the long-hair roller brush has clear texture and tactile sensation.
