The invention provides a boron nitride multiphase ceramic side sealing plate for thin-strip casting and a preparing method thereof and relates to a ceramic side sealing plate and a preparing method thereof. The technical problem that residues of low-melting-point phases influence high-temperature service performance of the boron nitride multiphase ceramic side sealing plate is solved. The boron nitride multiphase ceramic side sealing plate for thin-strip casting is prepared from boron nitride, electric-melting zirconium oxide, silicon carbide, a boron-containing compound and alkaline-earth metal oxide. The method comprises the steps that the raw materials are weighed; the raw materials are dispersed, dried and sieved to obtain composite powder mixed uniformly; the composite powder is placed into a die and sintered in a two-section hot pressing mode to obtain the side sealing plate. The compactness of the prepared boron nitride multiphase ceramic side sealing plate for thin-strip casting can be over 97%, a bending resistance value can be 250-350 MPa, and no obvious softening phenomenon occurs in the high-temperature mechanical performance tests; under the temperature difference of 800 DEG C, thermal shock tests of more than ten times are carried out repeatedly, and no thermal shock rupture phenomenon is found out. The method belongs to the field of preparing the ceramic side sealing plate.
