The invention belongs to the field of fireproofing materials for a converter flue feeding trough in iron and steel industry and particularly relates to a converter flue feeding trough castable and a preparation method of the same. The castable containing 10-25% of mid-grade magnesia being 3-5 mm in granularity, 20-40% of mid-grade magnesia being 1-3 mm in granularity, 10-25% of high-aluminum bauxite being 0-3 mm in granularity, 5-20% of magnesium aluminum spinel being 0-1 mm in granularity, 5-15% of industrial aluminum oxide being not more than 50 [mu]m in granularity, 3-8% of SiC being 80-120 meshes in granularity, 2-8% of pure calcium aluminate cement being not more than 0.088 mm in granularity, 2-6% of sodium silicate and 0.5-1.5% of a water reducer. The castable can satisfy the use conditions of two sides of furnace mouth part of a converter flue. The converter flue feeding trough produced with the castable is low in cost, is high in strength, is high-temperature-resistant and friction-resistant, is anti-slag, is strong in high-temperature gas invasion resistance and is low in service life. Meanwhile, the castable allows whole solid casting without water cooling, so that a problem of water leakage in the feeding trough is completely solved and meanwhile large quantity of water resources is saved.
