The invention discloses a herringbone gate. The herringbone gate comprises a main gate on the gate wall and at the gate bottom and a control mechanism on the gate wall. The herringbone gate is characterized in that a switch door and supporting points are arranged on the back side of the main gate; the control mechanism comprises a cylindrical sleeve, a brake switch, a retractable steel cable, turning points, a fixed pulley, a steel cable non-return device and a linkage wheel for steel cable retraction; the cylindrical sleeve is arranged on the main gate, and the two sides of the cylindrical sleeve are connected with the gate wall and the gate bottom to form an up-down overturn gate; one end of the main gate and one end of the switch door are connected with the retractable steel cable; the retractable steel cable passes to be close to the gate wall and pass through the four fixed turning points and the fixed pulley, the steel cable is retracted through the linkage wheel, and the non-return device controls water pressure so as to automatically open and close the herringbone gate. The herringbone gate has the advantages of being simple in structure, safe, firm and the like.
