The invention relates to an air seat brick joint sealant and a preparation method therefor. The technical scheme is as follows: corundum is employed as a main raw material, a little of active magnesium oxide micro powder and antioxidants are added, a proper amount of super-plasticizer Hexamoll(R) DINCH and thermosetting acrylic resins are added, high-plasticity pug is prepared by utilization of a vacuum extruder, and the pug is subjected to plasticity extrusion molding in narrow gaps around the air seat brick in the scene. The joint sealant has characteristics of high plasticity, low moisture and the like, facilitates plasticity extrusion molding in the scene, and reduces penetration of moisture into air seat brick. Through the vacuum extrusion technology, the joint sealant is compact and uniform, pores are few, slag is difficult to penetrate, the erosion resistance is raised greatly, air seat bricks can be protected effectively, the service lives of air bricks and steel ladles are prolonged, and thus steel ladle refining develops towards rapid pace, high efficiency and energy saving directions.
