JOINT SEALANT AND INSTALLATION METHOD THEREFOR
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint sealant and an installation method therefor, in which a guide member may be raised without deformation and a joint sealant may be inserted into a structure in a short period of time.SOLUTION: A joint sealant 10 and an installation method therefor involve a structure (caisson) having joint sealant attachment grooves formed in a vertical direction on surfaces that face each other on both sides of a joint part, and an opening formed on the joint sealant attachment groove. The joint sealant 10 includes attachment parts 11, 11, each having an edge to be inserted into the joint sealant attachment groove through the opening, and a flexible expansion/contraction part 12 between the attachment parts 11, 11 and disposed on the joint part for absorbing a displacement of the joint part and sealing the same. Also provided is a plurality of guide members 13 fitted on the attachment part 11 for guiding the joint sealant when inserted into the joint sealant attachment groove, and a connecting guide member that connects edges of the guide members 13. The guide members 13 are fitted leaving a clearance in between for preventing contact between the edges when the guide member is raised.
