The invention discloses a dual-purpose traveling mechanism capable of traveling on a pavement and a track. The dual-purpose traveling mechanism comprises a vehicle body and a pavement structure which can enable the vehicle body to travel along the pavement and the track, wherein the vehicle body comprises a vehicle rack, and one or more guiding mechanisms which are arranged at the front end of the vehicle rack and are used for guiding the vehicle body when the vehicle body travels along the track; the pavement structure comprises a pavement traveling part and a track traveling part; the vehicle body in the two-purpose structure is matched with the pavement structure provided with the pavement traveling part and the track traveling part, so that the vehicle body not only can travel on a common pavement but also can travel along a directional track when turning or traveling on a special lane; when the vehicle body travels on the track, basic tracks of track blocks bear the overall weight of the vehicle body, and upper edges of the basic tracks are used as wheel traveling surfaces of the vehicle body of the motor vehicle; guiding tracks are used for allowing the guiding mechanisms of the vehicle body to travel on, and play a guiding role on the vehicle body; tracks can be directly paved on the pavement of a conventional road, so that motor vehicles of different types are convenient to travel in different lanes, and the collision between vehicle bodies is avoided.
