The invention provides a diatom ooze-containing quartzite and a preparation method thereof. The diatom ooze-containing quartzite comprises main materials and auxiliary materials, and the main materials comprise 12-15 parts of diatom ooze, 1-3 parts of turtle shell, 75-90 parts of 30-120 mesh quartz sand, 40-45 parts of 300-700 mesh quartz powder, 2-4 parts of obsidian powder, 2-3 parts of synthetic resin, 2-3 parts of synthetic rubber, and 4-6 parts of polyacrylate; and the auxiliary materials comprise 0.3-1 part of a titanate coupling agent, 0.2-0.5 parts of ethylenetriamine, 0.2-0.5 parts of diethylenetriamine, 0.1-0.3 parts of jute, 0.2-0.4 parts of glass rag, 0.5-0.7 parts of a pigment, 0.1-0.2 parts of rock wool plate powder and 0.5-0.8 parts of an additive. The diatom ooze-containing quartzite has air purification, fire proofing, flame retardation, sterilization and deodorization effects, and has the advantages of environmental protection of used materials, easy cleaning, simple preparation flow, and low requirements on the production environment.
