The invention relates to a flame-retardant material. The flame-retardant material comprises raw materials with the following parts by weight: 10 to 100 parts of silicon dioxide, 1 to 70 parts of high-alumina cement, 0.1 to 10 parts of polyacrylamide, 1 to 20 parts of antimonous oxide, 1 to 20 parts of magnesium hydroxide, 1 to 20 parts of bentonite, and 1 to 30 parts of alumina. The flame-retardant material provided by the invention has the advantages of high temperature resistance, high thermal insulation, high strength, high convenience in use and low cost; the thermal-insulating and flame-retardant effects are excellent, so that the flame-retardant grade reaches V0.
