The invention discloses a castable for copper smelting chutes. The castable comprises 35-45% of 3-1mm silicon carbide, 20-30% of 1-0mm silicon carbide, 0-6% of 0.088mm silicon carbide fine powder, 4-8% of 325 mesh silicon nitride fine powder, 4-6% of 80 mesh modified carbon fine powder, 0-5% of 0.088mm sintered mullite fine powder, 5-10% of aluminate cement, 3-5% of silica fume, 4-8% of alpha alumina micro-powder and 2.0-4.0% of a composite additive. The castable for copper smelting chutes has good metal corrosion erosion penetration resistance, so the copper smelting chutes obtained by using the castable have strong integrity and high service, and have a service life 5-6 times that of present products.
