The invention discloses a wallboard installing method, which comprises three steps of frame body installation, connecting element installation and wallboard installation. According to the method, firstly, an aluminum sectional material is assembled into a framework with the required dimension in accordance with the required wallboard installing area of the wall surface; then, a group of horizontal frames in parallel arrangement in the vertical direction are arranged on the inner side of the framework; one side, near the wall body, of the horizontal frames is provided with a group of grooves; connecting elements are arranged in the grooves; a first installing board arranged on each connecting element is regulated to be attached to the wall body; gluewater is coated; finally, gluewater is coated on a third installing board arranged on each connecting element; and then, the wallboard is bonded on the third installing boards of the connecting elements for completing the splicing installation. A novel connecting element is designed, and the connecting element can realize the fine adjustment, so that the defect of rugged wall surface is overcome; and the problems of high cost, time waste, labor waste and low precision of the existing installing method are solved.
