The invention discloses a household air quality monitoring method. The method comprises the steps that a carbon dioxide sensor is arranged indoors; window opening and closing devices are arranged on all windows; a PM2.5 sensor is arranged outdoors; a ventilating and filtering device used for exchange of indoor air and outdoor air is arranged to pump filtered outdoor air into an indoor space and meanwhile exhaust indoor air to the outside; whether ventilation is needed or not is judged according to the concentration of indoor carbon dioxide; meanwhile, whether ventilation is conducted by opening the windows or through the ventilating and filtering module is judged according to the PM2.5 concentration of outside air. According to the household air quality monitoring method, the design is simple, using is convenient, and it is guaranteed that indoor air is fresh and not affected by outside haze.
