The invention belongs to the technical field of building materials, and in particular relates to a preparation method of polymer waterproof mortar. The preparation method comprises the following steps: weighing the following components in parts by weight at first: 100 parts of portland cement, 15-40 parts of granulated blast furnace slag powder, 5-30 parts of ultrafine slag powder, 1-8 parts of dry desulfurization ash, 250-400 parts of river sand, 50-180 parts of fine steel slag particles, 3-10 parts of latex powder, 0.05-0.15 part of a defoaming agent, 0.2-1.2 parts of a hyper-dispersant and 0.8-5 parts of nano attapulgite; and then stirring the well-weighed components at a high speed to obtain the waterproof mortar. The waterproof mortar is high in anti-penetrability grade, compression strength and bonding strength, good in aging resistance, convenient in construction and low in cost, and is environment-friendly and green.
