The invention provides a glass fiber reinforced plastic telegraph pole having a barrel-shaped conical structure. The telegraph pole comprises steel wire gauze, glass wool cloth, a plurality of steel bars and glass fiber reinforced plastic resin mixtures. The steel wire gauze has a barrel-shaped conical structure. Multiple layers of the glass wool cloth are wound on the outer surface of the steel wire gauze. The steel bars extend in the length direction of the steel wire gauze and are evenly distributed in the multiple layers of the glass wool cloth along the peripheral direction. The clearances between the steel wire gauze, the glass wool cloth and the steel bars are filled with the glass fiber reinforced plastic resin mixtures in a permeation mode through the centrifugal force. The glass fiber reinforced plastic telegraph pole meets the actual need for mountainous area line construction and repair, is light in weight, high in strength and long in service lifetime, and is convenient to carry and erect.
