The invention provides a preparation method of a foamed ceramic product. The preparation method of the foamed ceramic product comprises the following steps: providing a foamed ceramic material; pulping, spray-drying and granulating the foamed ceramic material, and then distributing the material to form a foamed ceramic green body; sintering the foamed ceramic green body to form a foamed ceramic body; and repeatedly coating multiple layers of refractory materials on the surface of the foamed ceramic body to form a refractory layer. The refractory layer improves the fireproof limit of the foamedceramic product, the surface of the foamed ceramic material is repeatedly coated with multiple layers of refractory materials, the increased plate thicknessis small, and the application range of thefoamed ceramic product is not affected. The invention provides the foamed ceramic product which comprises the foamed ceramic body and the refractory layer, the foamed ceramic body is formed by sintering the foamed ceramic material, the refractory layer is formed by sintering the multiple layers of refractory materials, and the surface of the foamed ceramic body is coated with the refractory layer.
