The invention relates to a construction method of a prefabricated box beam. The construction method comprises the steps that (1), construction is prepared; (2), a steel reinforcement cage is bound; (3), hoisting construction of a box beam steel reinforcement cage is carried out; (4), a box beam template is arranged in a supporting mode; (5), concrete pouring construction is carried out; (6), the prefabricated box beam is subjected to steam curing; and (7), the prefabricated box beam is subjected to wet curing. The construction method of the prefabricated box beam has the beneficial effects that the position of box beam stirrups can be limited by stirrup embedded grooves in stirrup limiting plates, the positions of a box beam longitudinal bar on the lower layer and a box beam longitudinal bar on the upper layer are correspondingly limited by a longitudinal bar limiting groove and a longitudinal bar limiting ring, and the difficulty of binding and positioning steel reinforcements of thebox beam steel reinforcement cage is reduced; and meanwhile, a hanging platform plate is arranged on the upper part of an upper-layer tread plate, the horizontal position of a tread plate sliding beamcan be adjusted through sliding beam rollers, and the box beam steel reinforcement cage is prevented from being treaded in the construction process of the box beam steel reinforcement cage.
