The invention discloses a rainwater collection and fire protection system. A settling zone and a clear water zone are arranged in a glass fiber-reinforced plastic tank, the settling zone is connectedwith a downstream rainwater pipe network through a second emptying pipe, and the clear water zone is connected with a purification and disinfection device through a recycling pipe and connected with the downstream rainwater pipe network through a second overflow pipe; a fiber net for filtration and a sterilization channel with ultraviolet diode blocks are arranged in the purification and disinfection device; a water supply pipe for supplying tap water is arranged in a fire pool; and a rainwater collection cover is arranged in an upstream rainwater pipe network. The rainwater collection and fire protection system has the advantages that (1) collected rainwater which is 'dead water' unused for a long term is transformed into 'flowing water', and through multiple processes of filtration and sterilization, good water quality is guaranteed; (2) sufficient water in the water storage tank is guaranteed, and it is avoided that no water is available; (3) each device of the system is stable in structure and long in service life; and (4) the drainage speed of a sewer pipe opening can be adjusted to adapt to the rainfall.
